Man Crashes into Police Vehicle, Gets Caught Passed Out at Slot Machine
The bizarre accident took place at Interstate 15 near the 215 Beltway, with one police officer sustaining injuries after a seemingly drunken driver hit his car and drove away On Tuesdayevening, an impaired driver hit a police cruiser and inflicted injuries on the police officer on duty. The police officer had to be ngaken to a hospital, with the culprit fleeing the scene. The police were quickly on the scene, and a search for the culprit began, with investigators eventually tracking the offender to the Silverton Casino, only 20 minutes after the crash. The man was found at a slot machine, passed out. The officers identified the culprit as Mark Guyot, a 51-year-old. He has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, which has resulted in bodily harm. Similarly, he was charged with a hit-and-run and failure to assist the victim after the accident occurred. Two empty bottles of whiskey were similarly found on his person, with the suspect reportedly waking up with slurred speechand watery and bloodshot eyes. Guyot, though, refused policemen to ngake the breathalyzer test on-site and submitted to blood draws instead. Guyot has posted his $100,000 bail and returns to court today. Guyot is a family man and a father of four. He is also said to have worked for MGM Resorts, as he is a video producer and director, and his website lists the popular gaming and hospitality brands as one of his clients.
