The largest casino in Reno, Nevada, was shot up by a perpetrator who left three dead and three injured for unclear reasons The Monday tragedy that took place at the largest casino in Reno, Nevada – the Grand Sierra Resort – has left three victims and three injured. Among the victims were two men, both 23-year-olds, who were celebrating a bachelor party, and a 66-year-old man who lived in the area, according to official reports. The suspect is one Dakota Haver, a 26-year-old Reno resident who opened fire in the early hours of the morning. Initially, Hawver had difficulties discharging his gun, which may have saved lives. Investigators are still working on his motives for the shooting, but they have ruled out a possible connection between the victims and the shooter at this point. The injured victims have all made – or are expected to – full recovery and will be okay, authorities updated. As to the people who died in the tragedy, there is Angel Martines, the 66-year-old resident, and Justin Aguila and Andrew Canepa, the young men who were celebrating the bachelor party. The perpetrator could have ngaken more lives had it not been for an issue with his gun that alerted onlookers and dispersed people. However, the man then started shooting and shot a driver dead on the spot as casino security responded. It wasn’t until police arrived that Haver was shot and wounded and ngaken away to the hospital. Security experts have pitched in and offered advice on what casinos could do to keep their premises safe, arguing that more hired bodies that are trained security staff would help. Others, though, have advised against bringing more guns, but rather consider removing concealed weaponry policies, and forcing guests who carry weapons to leave them or be banned from the property. The financial implications and political blowback, though, could be serious.
